Down but not out!

My little  boy fell this week hurting himself in the process; kids do.  He regularly has grazed knees and bruised legs.  At some stage during our growth into adulthood we seem to lose the grazed knees; imperceptibly as we grow we seem to run and tumble less.  A friend recently fell and grazed her knee and realised how unusual this now was, we began to wonder at what age did we stop grazing our knees?
